All flights into Chile land at Santiago's Arturo Merino Bentíz International Airport.

From the airport it's possible to hire a taxi or van directly to Pichilemu. These run about $50US

The bus is easy and economical. Note that if you arrive late in the evening to Santiago, it is best to spend the night in Santiago. The last bus for Pichilemu leaves around 8pm.

After you arrive at the airport, and before you leave the baggage claim area, it is possible to buy your 1000 peso (more or less) ticket to the central bus station, called Terminal Alameda. The buses leave from the airport every 20 minutes or so.

At the Terminal Alameda you will find a few different companies that run to Pichilemu. The two with the most buses are Pullman del Sur, and Nilahue (nee-law-way). It is important to note that there is a shorter bus route to Pichilemu via Meliplilla (3hrs) and a longer bus ride via San Fernando (5hrs). Both should cost about 3000-3500 pesos one-way.

The buses should carry your surfboards for free.
