Who are we? We are surfers. We are students. Val and Chris Wilcox first experienced Chile during their honeymoon a few years ago. Upon our arrival we were blown away by Chile’s vast similarities to California’s Cental Coast where we lived and worked. The people, the pace of life, the scenic coast, and the waves made such a lasting impression upon us that we constantly reminded each other that we must return one day
It was also in Chile that we began to fall in love with the intricacies of language.
We returned to Monterey, California and after a year or so of the 9 to 5 grind we decided why not do something other people only dream about: Live abroad, work abroad, submerse ourselves in another culture. It wasn’t difficult to choose Chile as the place to realize our idea- a language school in close proximity to amazing waves and beautiful countryside. Our school would be a meeting point for adventurers and travelers, students young and old, Chileans from all regions, and surfers and beach goers alike. People from all over the globe would be able to connect through a shared love of language, learning, open-mindedness, clean air and quiet pace.
So here we are, combining several passions at the end of the earth, hoping that you too won’t be afraid to take that extra step.
